An exercise is just an exercise. No matter how much it simulates, even if it’s lifelike, it can’t 100% replicate real combat. Just like their weapons, which are laser-based. Upon hitting the signal receiver, it indicates the person has been "killed," either by emitting smoke or vibrating, to show the hit individual has lost combat capability.

But there’s a problem: when a bullet hits the thigh, it can immediately disable the person, but the simulator only works on the torso and head. This means only hits to the torso and head will show as "killed," while hits on arms and legs that could be lethal or at least impair combat ability in actual warfare won’t have any reaction in exercises.

In a CQB combat exercise, guns, grenades, and flashbangs are indispensable. But bullets can be replaced with lasers, while grenades and flashbangs can’t.
