Yang Yi walked out of Bruno’s office, exited the instrument store, and couldn’t help but look back.

It seemed as if he had seen some scenery hidden behind the mist, but was what he saw the truth?

Seeing isn’t necessarily believing. Over the years, Yang Yi hadn’t learned much, but he had learned not to trust anyone.

Suspicion isn’t a good habit, but it’s definitely not a bad one either.

In terms of Yang Yi’s identity, and considering what he’s doing, not being suspicious would be irresponsible to himself, a betrayal to the Organization of Water, a crime, sheer stupidity.

So Yang Yi safely exited Bruno’s office, calmly, as if he had just talked prices with an ordinary instrument store owner. It felt like everything had changed, yet everything remained the same.

Something was definitely off, but Yang Yi couldn’t pinpoint it.

Things obtained too easily are not cherished, yet the Grey-cloaked People seemed too lazy to test Yang Yi. Was this reasonable? Of course not, but Bruno did it anyway. He surely knew this wouldn’t make Yang Yi fully trust him, nor sway him, yet Bruno acted so fearlessly.

So, the simplest explanation was that the critical battle had already begun.
