If Aaron plans to do something at Asad Base, Yang Yi and his team are indeed hard to defend against, leaving little room to fight back. So for safety, Yang Yi had Brian take that cross-like thing and stay outside alone.
Only Yang Yi, Reggie, and the five from Black Devil arrived at the Asad military base.
Upon arrival, there were ten minutes left until the set six hours span, so Yang Yi and his team waited for a while. Then, exactly at the six-hour mark, they walked towards the gate of Asad Base.
As usual, they were stopped, but this time, Grevatov and his team were carrying weapons.
Yang Yi had already taken out his credentials, holding them up above his head. As for Grevatov’s team, the Black Devils did not cover their faces, but they were indeed in disguise.
The sentry had just reached out to stop Yang Yi and his group when a sergeant came out from behind, first giving them a strange look, then loudly saying: "Just received orders from above, let them in, no check needed!"
It was a strange order, leaving the soldiers guarding the gate somewhat bewildered. The highest-ranking sergeant present reiterated loudly: "Let them in. No checks, it’s an order!"
Yang Yi put away his credentials, then silently walked into the base compound.
Reggie was bewildered; he had always been so. Because when Yang Yi told him he needed to pilot an AC-130 for a combat mission without explaining why, Reggie was just confused.
Yang Yi didn’t know who Aaron contacted to secure the AC-130; that was Aaron’s business. He just needed to be able to fly this airborne gunship to Mosul.
