Chapter 1249 - 1254: Mischievous Child
In the United States, the government can decide to revoke parental custody over a child and send the child to a welfare institution.
Now, what Yang Yi and the others have to do is to pick up Chris and Sandra’s child from the welfare institution.
Picking up a child late at night is typically impossible, but with Yang Yi, not being able to do such things is what’s truly unbelievable.
Sandra and Chris couldn’t wait any longer, and they appeared very nervous. When a staff member led out a sleepy-eyed boy, Sandra immediately rushed forward and tightly hugged her son.
As for Chris, he simply stood there, watching Sandra and his son embrace, while he dumbly didn’t know what he should do.
Anton lightly coughed, pushed Chris two steps forward, and then said to the seemingly ten-year-old boy, "Hi, hello Rick, this is your mother, and this is your father. Now, congratulations on your family reunion, father and son reuniting, congratulations!"
Anton started applauding. In their somewhat silly way, Yang Yi and the others immediately began following suit.
The reunion of father and son after a long separation is not something Yang Yi and the others were familiar with, so they really didn’t know what to do. But when Anton said to applaud, although it felt a bit crazy, they just followed suit and applauded.
"Are you my dad?"
Chris squatted down, tears starting to flow down his face, and he tremulously said, "Yes, child, I am your dad!"
"I thought my dad was dead?"
