Chapter 1243 - 1248: It’s Good to Have Something Up
Outside the firing range, only Anton was waiting.
Seeing Yang Yi’s expression, Anton immediately knew what had happened, so he adopted a helpless demeanor and said, "I’ve known this day would come for a while now. I told you — behaving like this will only exhaust you both."
Yang Yi silently nodded, then said softly, "Let’s go to the office."
"Why go to the office? Do you have anything worth doing there?"
A piercing question. Yang Yi shrugged and said, "I just want to sit quietly for a while."
Yang Yi’s office truly was just that — an office. Spacious, luxurious, but most importantly, it boasted a security level comparable to the President’s office. Really, in terms of technical measures or personnel setup, it was one of the safest offices in the world.
The only issue was that Yang Yi had done pretty much everything imaginable in his office — except anything legitimate.
Bonnie sat in the outer room, while Yang Yi occupied the inner room. Anton had his own office, directly across from Yang Yi’s.
Sitting in the genuinely comfortable office chair, Yang Yi first followed his usual routine of zoning out for a while. Then, he pressed an official-looking call bell, staring blankly at Bonnie as she walked in and locked eyes with him for a few moments.
"So, is there anything happening over on Anna’s end?"
Bonnie shrugged and said, "Nope."
