Spy-x-War Showdown

Chapter 1102 - 1107: Humiliation

Anton was driving in front because he spoke Portuguese.

They didn’t get far on the road before they encountered one police car after another, as well as riot armor vehicles - yet no one stopped Yang Yi and his team. Right now, the police were rushing to the site of the recent shootout; they wouldn’t stop every vehicle on the road.

Blocking the entire city’s roads would require the police to have a very strong rapid response capability, but Sao Paulo’s police definitely did not have this ability, let alone the entire Brazilian police force, even just to seal off the main thoroughfares.

By the time all the officers were deployed in place to block off all of Sao Paulo, Yang Yi and his group would have long since vanished.

However, the police indeed were able to seal off the immediate vicinity of the shootout incident, and that was about all they could manage.

In other words, as long as Yang Yi and his group only had to pass through one or two roadblocks and didn’t run into Nicholas’s men again, then their safety in Sao Paulo would be basically assured.

Finally, Anton came across the first roadblock.

There were only two police cars and a total of three officers standing on the road, and they didn’t check every passing vehicle. They only stopped the ones that looked like they might pose a risk for a check.

Why check vehicles that didn’t seem risky? Because what would they do if they really stopped the people who had just been involved in a massive shootout? Were they looking for trouble?

Unless reinforcements arrived - until the army or special police forces got there to conduct a strict search of each vehicle.

So, as Anton drove past the two officers, no one stopped him, especially after they saw the bat hanging from the rearview mirror; both officers tacitly turned away.
