Chapter 1081 - 1086: Hyena
Aaron is very satisfied with Yang Yi’s ability to get things done but expresses dissatisfaction with Yang Yi’s attitude.
Yang Yi pondered how to answer Aaron; it was a moment to make a stance, and this stance was very important.
After thinking for a moment, Yang Yi said softly, "I apologize, Sir, I am not alone. If my heart were entirely with the CIA, then my people would no longer be my own. I hope you can understand."
What Yang Yi implied was that although he had joined the CIA, he was not entirely owned by the CIA – he could help with things, but asking him to commit his own forces unconditionally in service to the CIA is impossible.
This stance was very frank, but Yang Yi believed Aaron would understand.
Aaron was silent for a moment, then smiled, "Alright, I have to understand your situation."
"Thank you, Sir."
Aaron continued indifferently, "Let me ask you another question. Since you have a good and close relationship with Justin, and Justin is now on the same side as Big Ivan, even supported by Big Ivan to become the head of the Cicero Family, is it possible for you to establish some sort of connection with Big Ivan?"
Yang Yi replied without hesitation, "I don’t think that will be a problem, I just can’t guarantee how deep my connection with Big Ivan will be."
"I understand that. Our undercover lines within the Big Ivan group have been purged, and we urgently need to re-establish an inside track. Tell me you can do this."
"I think I can do it, Sir."
