"Let your men stop for a while. My support for Nicholas doesn’t mean protection for him. He can protect himself. What I can do is supply him with some arms, give him access to the markets, but Nicholas is not completely under my control. If it were a matter of letting him die, he would definitely resist."

Aaron nodded, then said solemnly, "Who are the people you control?"
"Jethro, one of Deyo’s former men."
Aaron snapped his fingers and said, "I will leave everything to you, don’t worry about that. But right now, Nicholas is helping me with something.
