Chapter 972 - 977 Everything is Easy to Handle
That must be considered a perk of being a CIA agent, of course, only those with the authority to access classified information would enjoy such conveniences.
Yang Yi entered Clint’s name, his position as a guard at Pelican Bay Prison, and the mass breakout at Pelican Bay Prison. With just a few keywords, he immediately found Clint’s information.
Yang Yi also found his own name, the name he had once used, that Benjamin Park, but the photo was not his, it was the real Benjamin Park.
Looking at the file, Yang Yi felt quite disoriented. Those were his actions, but the photo was of another person. This feeling... it was simply fantastic!
But speaking of Clint, Yang Yi’s mood soured.
Clint had indeed become implicated.
Clint had even been investigated for a long time as a possible accomplice in the prison break, at least for half a year. He had been interrogated by the FBI seventeen times, and in addition, the CIA had conducted a year-long surveillance of his communications. Every call he made or email he sent was monitored and reviewed by dedicated personnel.
The file didn’t specify whom Clint helped escape because the name Brian was classified, a secret so deep that Yang Yi in his current status had no right to know.
Having been investigated by the FBI for half a year and under CIA surveillance for one year, the CIA pretty much knew Clint’s every move. Of course, if it weren’t for Brian, Clint wouldn’t have received such high-level attention. But since Brian was also one of the escapees, the CIA naturally had a significant interest.
Because the information was so detailed, Yang Yi knew Clint was in a bad situation. He had lost his job, and as a disgraced guard with a poor work record, frequent subpoenas made it impossible for him to find new employment, at least he could no longer work as a prison guard nor a police officer.
Clint first sold his car, his prized Chevrolet Camaro. He had children to support and a mortgage to pay, and after a long period without income, relying solely on his wife’s salary, they couldn’t make ends meet, and he eventually sold his car.
