Chapter 880 - 885: An Unexpected Arrival
Yang Yi turned back, his gaze once again intensely fixed on Steve.
Steve was visibly uneasy, but he didn’t say a word.
Yang Yi believed the shared view he held with Annastasia couldn’t be wrong, even if there were discrepancies, they would only be in the details. The crucial point that Steve had found a new backer was unquestionably correct.
Yang Yi hesitated over whether to first ask Steve exactly who he had turned to, but after locking eyes with Steve for a moment, he discarded the thought.
Steve wasn’t the kind to spill everything at the first sign of pressure, especially knowing that he wouldn’t be killed. Rather than wasting time listening to Steve’s lies, it was better to find a safe place and then question him leisurely.
Yang Yi looked toward the men from Anton’s group, then he said in a lowered voice, "Strip him of his clothes, search every inch of his body, and then take him with us as we leave."
At Yang Yi’s order, Brian said to Anton, "I have spare clothes, get him changed."
Anton exhaled deeply, stepped forward to grab Steve, and said with a detached expression, "Come here, behave yourself."
Stripping Steve was necessary for fear he had some sort of tracking device on him; changing his clothes was also needed to prevent easy recognition.
Anton led Steve into a cabin, and Brian whispered to Yang Yi, "Where are we headed?"
Where indeed.
