Chapter 808 - 813: A Gathering of Talents
Jethro made his first suggestion, which was that they must control Steve.
If Big Ivan killed Deyo and Steve at the same time, then there would be nothing to discuss, but if Steve survived, the Organization of Water needed to control him before anyone else.
Although Steve was often by Deyo’s side, proximity did not mean inseparability, and as Deyo’s finance manager, Steve inevitably had to go out often. So, even if Deyo died, the likelihood of Steve surviving was very high.
Therefore, arrangement in advance was necessary.
Yang Yi had originally planned to sit back and watch the tigers fight, utterly disregarding the conflict between Deyo and Big Ivan, and he thought it wouldn’t be too late to make a move after Deyo’s death. However, if he needed to arrange things in advance concerning Steve, then he would have to start surveilling Deyo.
Jethro did not know Steve’s personal phone number, nor did he know his address — basic confidentiality which both Deyo and Steve would surely attend to. But since Steve had to meet with Deyo frequently, they could only hope to lock onto Steve’s whereabouts while monitoring Deyo.
If Deyo wasn’t dead, the Organization of Water wouldn’t make a move on Steve, because doing so would not only be alarming but also pointless.
Yang Yi couldn’t do anything about Big Ivan’s affairs; what he could do now was to quickly deal with Mark Schappo, then summon all of the Organization of Water’s forces to Nice, France, the only place he knew Deyo might appear.
Such matters did not require discussion because, regardless of the discussions, in the end, there was only one way to proceed.
