Waking up from a night’s sleep and just out of bed, Yang Yi wondered whether he should put more effort into making Mark Schappo come back sooner when Anton came to find him.
"Mark Schappo is back."
Yang Yi’s first reaction was to check his watch. He had slept for five hours, and now it was nine in the morning, meaning that in less than six hours after making the call to Justin, Mark Schappo was already back.
So Yang Yi thought it was just a coincidence that Mark Schappo’s return had nothing to do with him.
"Why did he come back?"
"Because last night, the information from the Ministry of Defense Intelligence Bureau was scattered all over the world. Among them, the most crucial was the information of a few spies from the Ministry of Defense Intelligence Bureau in Eastern Ukraine: names, positions, and work locations."
"What? The intelligence we obtained last night didn’t include these."
"Uh, it did, because the list of wartime special allowances issued by the Ministry of Defense Intelligence Bureau included the spies’ names and their work locations."
Yang Yi was speechless, and then he looked at Anton, asking, "How did you get this news?"
Anton shrugged and said, "The Ministry of Defense is going to hold an emergency meeting today. Regardless of how the intelligence was leaked, the most critical thing is to prevent such key information from leaking out in such a ridiculous way."
