The plane, that plane must not be allowed to leave!

A tremendous sense of fear made Roy reach out and grab the right-hand man Arseny sent.

But after Roy, out of instinct, yelled out the only remedial measures he could think of, Arseny’s right-hand man went from full-faced confusion to anger.

"Shoot it down? How am I supposed to tell the ground-to-air missile troops to shoot down a civilian airliner? How am I supposed to get the air force to scramble fighter jets to force down a civilian airliner?"

Arseny had just become Prime Minister; he couldn’t yet do whatever he wanted, and most importantly, he still hadn’t gained control of the military. As Arseny’s right-hand man, without any official public duties, what authority did he have to order the military around, let alone whether they would be willing to listen to his orders.

"Stop the car!"

Roy shouted, then he said loudly into the walkie-talkie: "Stop the cars, stop them all!"

Cupping his hand over his mouth, Roy pondered for a moment and then said to the person beside him: "Tell the control tower to make the plane land. I’ve given it some serious thought; the plane that just arrived shouldn’t have any problem. Therefore, the problem must be with this new plane, or perhaps my boss has taken some measures to mislead others. Alright, now let’s go back and see."

Arseny’s right-hand man’s face turned the color of iron, and he said in a deep voice: "The Gold has already been handed over to you, and you have already loaded the Gold onto the plane. I will comply with all your demands, but remember, the Gold transaction is clear. You just need to make sure your boss follows through with the promise to bring the money. Now, I need to call my own boss to explain the situation here."

The cars came to a halt, but Roy didn’t instruct the convoy to turn back to their previous position. He said gravely: "I need to make a call to find out what’s going on."
