Paul interjected quietly, "Don’t confuse the KGB special operations team with Wimber. Wimber’s Black Devils named themselves, while the KGB special operations team’s Black Devils was a moniker we gave them."

Yang Yi asked softly, "Is there a difference?"

Paul said fiercely, "The difference is huge! Wimber also used to belong to the KGB. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, they became a special force under the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. They wear black clothing, which is why they call themselves Black Devils. But the KGB’s special operations team is different; they are the real Black Devils because we were the ones who named them that."

In a low voice, Brian added, "We only found out about the existence of this unit in 1982. When the Black Devils were formed, how many members they have, what specific missions they carry out—all of that is unknown. What is known is that this team took on the most difficult and dangerous combat missions for the KGB, but at the same time, they were also the best spies. This was an all-capable team. During Brezhnev’s era, nearly all of the KGB’s major operations were led by Black Devils, and nearly all of their significant victories involved the Black Devils."

After a pause, Brian continued quietly, "The KGB captives we caught said, it’s rumored that Black Devils were an ace force created by the might of the entire Soviet Union, not just the KGB. They were the strongest of the whole Soviet Union. They were really powerful."
