Day broke.
Yang Yi had finished his breakfast and then was taken to an office.
Since entering prison, this was the first time Yang Yi had met the warden.
Most of the prison staff were guards, and the guards could be considered the military officers of this small ecosystem, with Owen being the head of all the guards.
The highest authority in the prison was the warden, who had nothing to do with the guards; the warden should be considered a civil officer.
The warden, in his fifties, wearing a gray suit, stretched out his hand to indicate Yang Yi, who was not handcuffed, to sit down, and then said with a gentle face, "No one has ever successfully escaped from our prison, but last night was somewhat different, a prisoner left his cell, although this doesn’t count as a real escape, you stopped him and should be rewarded."
Yang Yi said very respectfully, "Thank you, sir."
"Tell me what you want, and I will do my best to satisfy you."
Yang Yi thought it would be Owen who directly transferred him, but now it seemed Owen would not show up personally. He wondered what methods Owen used that had the warden announcing the reward to him in person.
Yang Yi thought for a moment, then cautiously said, "Sir, life in prison is very boring, if I could get a job, that would be best."
