Perhaps being alive was indeed a worse fate for the beast Wayne than death, but that was not the key point – the key was to fathom the level of hatred that could make a person willingly give up their freedom to come to prison, just for the ability to watch another person remain incarcerated.

Unless that person’s heart had died, freedom meant nothing to them – nothing had any meaning anymore.

But Yang Yi felt that Zhang Yong shouldn’t end up like this, nor should he continue living this way.

Zhang Yong was the most formidable person Yang Yi had ever met. There was almost nothing he couldn’t do, and his ability to change the subject was exceptionally strong.
