Chapter 1: EP.1 Daily Life
EP.1 Daily Life
At 20 years old, I decided not to go to university and instead planned to study and get a job as a civil servant. Even though my stepmother raised me for ten years, she is, in reality, not related to me by blood, so I thought it would be wrong to ask her for entrance or tuition fees for college. That's why I made this decision.
When I told my mother I didn't plan on going to college, she understood and had no problem with it, but she was against me becoming a civil servant.
"How much do civil servants even get paid! My company needs workers, so come work here!"
Faced with my mother's firm words, I couldn't say a word and just accepted her offer.
It's a fairly large women's underwear company, almost at the level of a major corporation, so even if the work is menial, it obviously pays more and has a better environment than being a civil servant. It was a very good offer, but I hesitated, thinking I was relying too much on my mother. Still, since my mother is the type of person who always follows through on decisions, I simply accepted.
"Well, working from home is better than being a civil servant anyway..."
So, as an adult, I ended up spending most of my time at home, but my mother seemed satisfied and would just send me tasks by email without saying much.
"I feel like I'm relying too much on my mother... but this much should be fine, since I'm not just playing around and getting an allowance."
Thus, working at my mother's company and working from home became my daily routine, and after two years, at 22 years old, I was completely used to this lifestyle.
Even though I stayed home, my mother thought it was important to have a regular routine, so I would wake up in time for my younger siblings to go to school, and the four of us would eat together as part of our daily schedule.
