Chapter 65: Promotion
The problem that Aeryon is thinking is about a city.
Mayeux had been thinking to create a city here. At first Aeryon does not believe it could work because they live in the Steppe.
But then Mayeux reminded him that their tribe is not that far away from Nurshira. And only then he remembers. This is not the Great Steppe of his world. The border of Nurshira is not separated by thousands of miles of dessert.
Instead, if he wanted to come to Nurshira, he simply could ride his horse and in just a few days, he would be there.
Only then he recognizes that he treated the Great Steppe like the Mongolian Steppe of his world and so he seems to ignore the fact that they are very close with Nurshira.
It is possible to create even stone castles like in Yan.
And it is possible to create a large city here. Mayeux himself had reminded him that the ancestor of the Brolgadhr tribe chooses this place for a reason. When they were defeated in the past, near the Central Steppe, they retreated to the South.
And they chose this place because it is easy to trade. In the past, the Yan traded with the tribes around here and the tribes would go to sell the wares toward the West, East and North of the Steppe.
But then the Yan weaponize trade and trust between two sides broke and both look at each other with hostility
Of course, merchants are a group of people who are not deterred and would find profit if they can.
Some smuggle their wares. It is isn’t until a few decades ago, that even the merchants find it hard to come to the Great Steppe and trade.
