I fell in love with that feeling, and so I created many more beings—humans, Spiritual Beasts—I love each and every one of you."
"But your favorites are still Zi Xiao and Mang Qianjun," Yong Xing said.
The Creator God laughed, shook her head, and said, "I don’t favor anyone above others; you and they are all the same to me in my heart." After speaking, she sighed and said, "It suddenly reminds me of a question Zi Xiao once asked me. Having created this world and so many creatures, what else can I still seek? Sometimes, I too wonder what is the point of all this that I do, what can I do next?"
"You created this world and gave them life. Without you, there would be no world," Yong Xing said, not knowing why she would share these thoughts with him, wondering if his secret had been discovered.
"I don’t know why, but thinking of what I need to do gives me a bad feeling," the Creator God said quietly, looking at the fading evening sun, "Rong Xiu and Hen Xi should be back. Let’s return."
