"Do you know how you ended up here?" Dugu Qianye continued to ask.
"Baby was in the egg, sleeping in the sea. I don’t know how I got here," Beast said.
Someone must have caught it from the sea, but since they didn’t recognize the egg, they simply threw it away. However, it seems like there are no seas on the Spirit Void Continent.
Dandan glared with a dark expression at Beast, which looked like it wanted to steal his place, frightening Beast into extinguishing any thoughts it had of doing so.
"None of us recognize it, but since it likes our little junior sister, you should keep it. Maybe it will come in handy one day," Fen Qingran said.
Dugu Qianye nodded and said, "Then you shall be called Lan Yue, Yue Baby."
"Okay, okay, I am Yue Baby," Lan Yue said, patting its webbed hands.
Having settled the matter with Lan Yue, Dugu Qianye realized that the auction was almost over. The items offered toward the end were clearly of a higher grade than those earlier, but none caught Dugu Qianye’s eye. As midnight approached, the first day of the auction came to an end.
Dugu Qianye and her two companions left through a private passage, and she stored Lan Yue in the Refining Demon Pot for the other Beasts to look after. They had expected some fuss when Lan Yue was separated from Dugu Qianye, but to their surprise, Lan Yue became excited as soon as it entered the Refining Demon Pot and clicked instantly with Xiaohuo and the others.
Dandan acted like a child throwing a tantrum, clinging to Dugu Qianye’s arms and refusing to come down.
