The Beasts looked at each other, still hesitant. Dugu Qianye was not in a rush; she took a chair out of her Space Ring, sat down, leaned back, and crossed her legs, saying, "This opportunity only comes once. Miss it, and there’s no second chance."

After the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, the Seven-tailed Fox stepped forward and said, "I am willing to give it a try."

"Good." Dugu Qianye walked over, placed her hand on the forehead of the Seven-tailed Fox, and activated the second part of the Beast Taming Technique, letting her Phantom Power slowly enter the body of the Seven-tailed Fox. She found the Demon Crystal and began to envelop it gently. Initially facing some subconscious resistance, it didn’t take long before the Demon Crystal was completely covered. The Beast Taming Technique merged Dugu Qianye’s Phantom Power with the strength of the Seven-tailed Fox, creating a new force. Most of this power entered into the Seven-tailed Fox’s Demon Crystal while a portion traveled back the way it came, entering Dugu Qianye’s body and sinking into her Dantian.

Dugu Qianye withdrew her hand, and the Seven-tailed Fox cried out twice with "ow, ow." Above its head appeared five pentagrams, and its seven white tails danced in the air. Then, its body was enveloped in the glow of Promotion Light. Beside the five pentagrams another slowly appeared, followed by the growth of another tail. Growing as quickly as if carried by the wind, the eighth tail soon matched the others in size. After a while, the glow of advancement finally dissipated.
