Chapter 375 - 371: Don’t Want to Fall in Love with Uncle (Part 2)
Asher Land walked upstairs, took out his phone, and called Robert Williams.
"President Land, is there something you need?" Robert Williams waited a long time, but Asher Land didn’t speak.
"Well, have you ever courted a woman?" After a while, Asher Land got this question out.
"President Land, why are you suddenly asking this?" Robert Williams was a bit embarrassed. He had always been busy working for Asher Land, where would he find the time to court women?
"Yes or no?" He impatiently asked again.
"Uh, no."
He admitted that he had been involved with other women before, but dealing with them was merely a matter of money, a check would solve everything. But Sophie Smith was different, besides, didn’t she say she wanted romance?
"I don’t care, you help me plan a romantic date, the time is nine in the evening, and don’t mess up the partners, it’s between me and Sophie Smith."
"..." Robert Williams was dumbfounded. This wasn’t the kind of thing he was good at, and weren’t they usually fine? Why this sudden whim for a romantic date?
"President Land..."
"Don’t give me lame excuses, do it right now!"
With that, Asher Land decisively hung up, leaving Robert Williams staring at the now-dark phone screen with complaints.
...
At around eight in the evening, Sophie Smith was directly dragged into the car by Asher Land.
"Where are we going?" She pulled her coat tighter around her. What was he up to in such cold weather?
"To a date."
"..." Sophie Smith turned her head towards him, watching him drive with full concentration, her face full of suspicion.
"Are you sure?" She asked with uncertainty.
"Yeah." He replied, but actually felt uneasy inside. The most important thing was that he didn’t know whether Robert had arranged everything properly. If not, wouldn’t he be incredibly embarrassed?
The car ultimately stopped at a huge amusement park. Sophie Smith got out of the car, looked around, and saw a red carpet spreading from the amusement park entrance, with bouquets of roses flown in from Europe lining both sides.
The amusement park had already been cleared out and the setup outside was indeed impressive. Robert Williams had apparently mobilized a lot of manpower and resources to make it extremely romantic.
Asher Land had a slight curve at the corner of his mouth, evidently approving of Robert’s ability to get things done.
"Asher Land, you’re so vulgar." Sophie Smith regarded the roses disdainfully, then looked up at him.
Vulgar?
Asher Land’s mouth twitched, the curve that had been on his lips froze instantly. He glanced back at Robert Williams behind him, who shivered and quickly lowered his head.
Inwardly, Robert was puzzled, why was Miss Smith so troublesome?
Sophie Smith walked into the amusement park, which was filled with various decorative lights, gently and splendidly illuminating the enormous, quiet place.
Following behind her, Asher Land had lost his spirit due to her comment of being vulgar.
True, he didn’t know how to pursue women. His previous methods were straightforward and crude; if he liked someone, he’d keep them by any means necessary.
He had always kept her by his side, regardless of whether she was willing or not, he simply refused to let go.
Her appearance changed him greatly, if not for her reminder today, he wouldn’t have realized he was nearly seven years older than her.
He often got frustrated with her, like a child with tantrums, acting spoiled.
If he remembered correctly, she should still be a junior in college, yet she was much calmer and more composed compared to him.
