Noble Pampering: Demon CEO's Relentless Entanglement

Chapter 335 - 331: The Conspiracy of Birth (1)

Early in the morning, Sophie Smith made a call to Eva Miller. Today seemed to have good weather, and Eva happened to be at the hospital taking care of Christopher Smith. So, Sophie wanted her to take Christopher out for a walk. After all, staying in the hospital for too long can make a person’s mood gloomy, and a walk might lift his spirits a bit.

"Eva, I might not be able to come until the afternoon. I’ll have to trouble you this morning."

"No problem, no need to be polite with me." Eva readily agreed.

She brought out a wheelchair, had Christopher sit in it, and pushed him around the hospital garden for a walk.

The fresh morning air indeed made people feel more refreshed. Eva looked around, enjoying this rare moment, knowing that usually, she was incredibly lazy and wouldn’t get up this early.

Suddenly, her gaze caught a familiar figure, it was Oliver Johnson. Her lips involuntarily curved into a smile, and she intended to move closer, but another man suddenly appeared.

The man stood with his back to her, talking to Oliver Johnson.

"Brother, is the situation difficult?" The man who called Oliver brother was his younger brother, Henry Johnson.

"A bit." Oliver stood with his hands behind his back, letting out a deep sigh.

"Why? Didn’t you say that woman trusts you a lot?"

"But, her feelings for Asher Land are definitely not simple. If I were to ask her to betray him unconditionally, she definitely wouldn’t."

"Brother, you need to hurry. We can’t let Golden Era keep overshadowing Hush Sky like this."

"Yeah, I know. You go first. She’ll come to the hospital later. Don’t let her catch us, otherwise, she might get suspicious."

Oliver chased Henry away and was just about to head to Christopher’s ward when he turned around and saw Eva pushing Christopher not far behind.

"Brother Johnson, are you here to see Uncle Smith too?" Eva greeted him excitedly, showing no sign of suspicion. It seemed she hadn’t overheard what he and Henry discussed, allowing him to relax a bit.

"Yes, Uncle Smith, are you feeling any better?" he smiled as he approached the two of them.

"Mr. Johnson, you’re really kind to worry about me, coming to the hospital every day to visit." Christopher felt comforted that despite his serious illness, Charlotte Harrison hadn’t brought James Smith to see him even once, yet Sophie was taking care of him with great dedication. Moreover, she had made two such good friends who treated him like family.

Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but shed tears again.

"Has Miss Smith not come yet?"

"Ah, I think we’re being too formal when we speak. Mr. Johnson, do you mind if I call you Oliver? Also, stop calling Sophie Miss Smith, it sounds so awkward. Just call her Little Sophie."

Oliver let out a light laugh and shook his head.

"Well, I’d still need Miss Smith’s permission for that."

"Miss Miller..." Oliver started to say something to Eva, but Eva quickly interrupted him.

"Brother Johnson, you don’t need to call me Miss Miller. Just call me Eva, I’m okay with it." Eva stuck her tongue out and told him.

The three of them started chatting early in the morning about this issue of addressing each other, creating a warm and harmonious scene.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t what he wanted.

After Eva pushed Christopher towards the breakfast shop, Oliver’s smile faded from his lips.

They all trusted him so much, yet he had no choice but to use their trust to accomplish certain things.
