Chapter 265 - 261: Don’t You Ever Learn? (Part 3)
The rain poured down harder and harder, and it was clear that her body was trembling violently.
She didn’t even want to look at him any longer; she turned around, tiptoeing, and wiped the blood from Wyatt Sterling’s mouth with her hand.
Wyatt Sterling’s right cheek was already showing a visible bruise; his strike was too heavy.
"Senior Brother, I’m sorry, I’m sorry..." she murmured, and from Wyatt Sterling’s angle, he could tell she was undoubtedly very tense, as even her eyelashes were trembling lightly.
"I’m okay." Wyatt Sterling removed her hand, looking at her seriously, "Tonight, don’t go back with him, okay?"
"Let me go, damn it!" Damn, he was standing right here and they still wanted to show their ’affection’ in front of him?
Sophie Smith instinctively tried to pull her hand back, but Wyatt Sterling held it tightly.
Asher Land stepped forward; he hadn’t made any move yet when Sophie Smith shielded Wyatt Sterling with her entire body.
"What? Are you going to protect your lover?" A disdainful smirk curled at his lips as he clenched his fists, the veins on his hands bulging. Sophie Smith knew he wouldn’t give up easily.
"Step aside." He said in a deep voice.
"I won’t." Her face was full of stubbornness.
His big hand clasped her wrist, and with a forceful tug, pulled her whole body up. As Wyatt Sterling was about to help her, Asher Land punched him in the face again.
"I think, I’ve warned you before." He said, gripping Wyatt Sterling’s collar, emphasizing each word.
"You’re not worthy of her." A faint, handsome smile appeared on Wyatt Sterling’s lips, "One day, she’ll leave you; she doesn’t love you."
"You..."
"Enough!" Sophie’s voice was nearly choked with emotion, "Asher Land, I beg you, let Senior Brother go!"
She was practically kneeling on the ground, her head bowed, not looking at him again.
Ha, she kneeled on the ground like this for a man, begging him without the slightest dignity? Her eyes were filled with disgust, as if one more look at him would dirty her eyes.
His heart twitched violently, and the raised fist eventually fell.
He pulled her up from the ground with his big hand, dragging her towards the car.
He walked very quickly, and Sophie, wearing high heels, couldn’t keep up with his pace. She couldn’t see the road clearly, being forcibly dragged along, and twisted her ankle.
Suddenly, a wave of pain spread through her.
"President Land, Miss Smith, Miss Smith’s leg..." Robert Williams, following behind them, noticed the abnormality in Sophie’s steps and couldn’t help but voice a reminder to Asher Land.
Her pale face showed a hint of pain, and she was somewhat unsteady in the rain. In this state, she did look rather pitiful.
In the end, he couldn’t harden his heart, and he picked her up horizontally, carrying her to the car.
"Young Master, to the hospital or back to the Land Family?" Robert Williams asked Asher Land in the back seat.
"Back to the Land Family, tell Nanny Garcia to call Doctor Lewis over."
"Yes."
Sophie turned her head toward the window, biting her lip, as if suppressing something.
Neither of them spoke again in the car, and even Robert Williams, who was driving, didn’t dare make a sound; the atmosphere in the car was exceedingly oppressive, with only the sound of rain pattering against the windows.
He took off his drenched coat and looked at her again; she was also in a pitiful state. She had worn so little today and now there wasn’t a dry spot on her.
"Come closer." He ordered in a deep voice.
