"My private life isn’t convenient to share with everyone." Asher Land affectionately wrapped his arm around her slender waist, and with a simple sentence, he cut off everyone’s curiosity.
The crowd had heard about Asher Land’s personality before, and everyone knew that what Asher Land didn’t want to say was not to be probed further, so they had to retreat awkwardly.
Sophie Smith never liked socializing. Taking advantage of the moment when Asher Land was conversing with others, she quietly slipped away from his side, holding a glass of red wine, wandering aimlessly around. Although a bit bored, she felt much more at ease than she had earlier.

"What are you doing here?" Sophie felt a bit surprised. The banquet seemed to be filled with business figures, so why was Wyatt Sterling, a big shot in the entertainment industry, here?
"I’m here on behalf of my father."
