Chapter 49: Using a Man to Climb Up
Feeling a bit uneasy, she walked out together with Jessica Wood, while Wyatt Sterling looked at her departing figure with a touch of puzzlement, his feet unconsciously moving to follow.
In a corner of the filming set, Jessica Wood crossed her arms, gazing at Sophie Smith with a slightly disdainful look in her eyes.
"I just don’t understand, how could President Land be interested in someone so insignificant like you, visiting the set every other day," Jessica said with a sour tone.
"If your only purpose in talking to me is to put me down, then I probably shouldn’t be standing here."
"I ask you, did you do what you promised me last time?"

Sophie remembered that Jessica had asked her to recommend her to Asher Land.
