Primordial Villain With A Slave Harem

Chapter 944: Black Fang’s Pros and Cons

"Good news, everyone~" Vex sang, holding up her now-dimmed communication artifact. "Black Fang agreed to back us up on the ’Aurelion’s brutal butchering’ matter. As for Jasmine’s mom, that’ll take a little digging. We’re gonna need time to locate her exact prison. We can only start moving without restraint once that’s done."

Quinlan’s lips turned upwards with satisfaction. A slow, genuine smile.

"That woman really is something, isn’t she? The Consortium is in a full-blown war with the Greenvale Dukedom, and from what I can tell, we aren’t exactly winning... Yet she still diverts assets just to help me settle a personal score..."

Vex chuckled hearing that, brushing her white hair behind one ear. "She’s awesome for certain, hubby. As long as you don’t ask any of her peers, that is. They’d probably describe her with words like ’demonic,’ ’lunatic,’ and ’craziest, most unhinged bitch they ever had the displeasure of working with’"

She grinned proudly. "But hey, being important to that kind of lunatic does come with its perks. Just look... without hesitation, she prioritized your issue over the war. Raika’s already been deployed with a squad of scouts backing her up. They’re en route to crack some skulls in search of the location."

Quinlan laughed, shaking his head fondly. "I already knew, but what a terrifying, wonderful ally she is to have."

Then he turned to the group of women gathered nearby.

"Before I forget, let me introduce two ladies who came back with me. Feng Jiai—" he gestured at the short, delicate, oriental teen with long black hair and sharp eyes "—is an awesome youngster who stuck by me from minute five of the trial to the very end. And Serika Vael—" he motioned to the fiery red-haired woman with sun-kissed skin and a powerful, regal stance "—is a warrior with fists that punch holes through mountains. She’s now a proud bearer of the [Solar Fist] class."

He smiled.

"I hope you’ll all get along."

Ayame’s crystal-blue gaze scanned Feng Jiai with a scrutinizing intensity. The younger girl flinched, her spine stiffening under the weight of the samurai’s unblinking stare. She felt like she was being judged by a terribly discerning wolf, one who knew the exact measure of her prey’s worth.
