Chapter 926: Leaving the Vampire Domain [Bonus]
It screamed through the air like a thunderbolt sent from heaven, tearing through one thick castle wall, then another, and another, cleanly cutting through marble, steel, and enchanted bone columns without even slowing. With impossible precision, it carved a perfectly symmetrical corridor all the way through the castle and out into the lush, sunlit fields beyond, with wind and golden light pouring in as joy returned to the gloomy, dark place.
And then, just as the last echo of the blast faded, Mearie raised her palm calmly.
The spear, no longer visible, shot backwards through the same path like lightning rewinding time, landing in her hand with a heavenly chime. She twirled it twice, a fluid blur of motion, before tossing it up into the air where it vanished in a blink of divine sparkles.
She smiled, perfectly serene once more.
"Much better," she said sweetly, turning with that same tender smile she used to offer Quinlan bedtime kisses.
"Come now, dear," Luminara said gently to Serika, linking arms with the still-sniffling tanned woman. "Let’s take in some proper air."
The two radiant moms flanked Serika as they led her down the newly made sunlit corridor, the heat and pain in her chest easing with each step away from the oppressive gloom.
Back in the sitting chamber, Feng stared at the path of destruction left in Mearie’s wake.
Her jaw slackened.
She blinked.
"...She just did that," she mumbled, eyes wide.
