Life as a Royal’s Breeding Partner

Side Story: Geta

*** Geta ***

"Alzi, I want my Goddess to check on my kids," I say. "I want to make sure Death isn't overtaking them somehow."

"Didn't I just check them?" Alzi asks.

I am polite enough to ask her body that is for her wives. Her main body is much too busy to worry about a pregnancy that she has already confirmed is fine. "Yes, you did, but well, I want to see if something is strange with the babies," I ask.

"I guess I do want to ask Death about Dragon's plan for the old Dragon Queen's soul," Alzi says. "But you're fine, and she didn't say anything about the kids when I was with her just a bit ago."

"I know, but the pregnancy has a weird itch, and my nerves could use some help," I say. "I think Death will take us up together."

"We'll make it quick," Alzi says. "Nanoka, can you teleport us to a crypt?"

"Yes, dear," Nanoka says.

We go through Space's strange tunnel system and end up in one of my Goddess's temples. We walk in, and Death takes us up without a thought. Alzi is already in Death's lap. Not a comforting thing to see.

"Geta, nothing strange is going on with the kids," My Goddess says. "I'm not Fertility or Pregnancy, but nothing is there to worry about. Likely going to pop out as angels or a similar being, if I had to guess."

"I understand, my Goddess," I say, working to my knees.

"Stay standing if you're not going to sit down," Alzi says. "You're pregnant. Death, is Dragon's plan going to work?"

"What plan?" My Goddess asks.

"The one with me getting the old Queen's soul pregnant or something," Alzi says.

"Not really," Death says. "She's hardly there. You'll have to keep the body alive, as that soul won't keep the flesh alive. You'd be lucky to get one kid out of that terrible thing. I gave her the souls to keep her quiet and send her away. I didn't think she actually had a plan for those silly sisters."

"Thank you," Alzi says.

"I'll be sending you away," My Goddess says. "Can't have Geta up here too long or the others will start to complain."

"Thank you, My Goddess," I say.

"Be a good girl for me," My Goddess says.

I don't get to answer her command; she just sends me back to the temple immediately.

"Well, time to annoy Dragon," Alzi says. "Sorry, you won't be able to come up. I'll have my other body bother her."

*** Alzi, Third Body ***

I just bow my head, and Dragon takes me up.

"Death told me your plan for me to get the old Queen's soul pregnant won't work as you say it will," I say.

"It would," Dragon says. "Don't doubt me, hatchling."

"I think I'll trust Death over you on souls," I say. "I guess I could check in with Fertility. She would know more as well. But I doubt the answer would change. I don't care that much about the deal. At least that is my excuse for not remembering it."

"The Queen is meant to give a brood for the next generation. She's still capable of giving me a brood. Don't underestimate the dragons," Dragon says.

I try to say more, but she sends me away. The High Priestess is giving me a rather rude stare now.
