Chapter 2509 - 687: Returning to Xuandu City, Facing Embarrassment at My Own Company
In the gentle breeze, the Blood Guard Army stood filling the entire courtyard. An Yiqing stood in the center of the crowd, a faint smile on her face.
"In this year and a half, I thank you all for being here, allowing my family and friends to be protected. Now that I am back, for the next year, ten years, or even a hundred years, I hope every one of you will always be here. So brothers, strive to become stronger! Don’t disappoint me!"
One hundred and ninety-eight people, one hundred and ninety-eight hearts filled with passion. Everyone’s eyes reddened with sincere anticipation from An Yiqing.
On this day, the sun shone brightly, and the hearts of everyone united as one.
...
In the evening, when Gu Yelin returned from Xuandu City, An Yiqing was strolling back and forth in the courtyard, holding Little Bun. The moonlight, soft and gentle, fell on the woman and child, the lake water shimmered, and the fragrance of fresh grass filled the air. By the small lake, the woman held her plump child, smiling warmly and tranquilly.
After a day’s rush, Gu Yelin felt his heart melting, turning into a pool of spring water, his gaze unbelievably gentle. He strode over, enveloping his wife and son in his embrace.
"Why didn’t you chat with mom and dad?" Gu Yelin asked softly.
"Um, they went to bed after eight. I couldn’t sleep, so I took Xiao Bao for a walk."
Gu Yelin took Little Bun from An Yiqing, and seeing his father, the bun’s big and bright eyes lit up with an innocent smile. His chubby little hands tugged at his father’s hair, giggling all the while.
The usually neat and tidy Gu Yelin allowed his son to mess up his hair. He tapped Little Bun’s nose and jokingly scolded, "You little rascal!"
An Yiqing watched the father and son with a smile. She never imagined that the man who was always so cold and unfeeling could turn into such a gentle father. Looking at that exceptionally handsome face, her heart stirred suddenly, and she leaned up to place a kiss on his cheek.
Gu Yelin was taken aback, looking at the smiling An Yiqing, his eyes darkened. An Yiqing knew exactly what this man was thinking, and with her face flushed, she glared at him before running away.
Little Bun blinked his big eyes, not knowing what game mom and dad were playing. He looked eagerly at his father, pouting his lips.
In the shallow lake light, the man holding his child let out a low, magnetic laugh, making one’s heart race upon hearing it.
"Son, come on, let’s go back to sleep!"
...
In the bedroom, An Yiqing leaned against the headboard, flipping through the book in her hand. Gu Yelin opened the door and came in just then. An Yiqing looked up at him and was taken aback.
"Where’s Xiao Bao?"
The man slowly took off his clothes, speaking leisurely, "In his own room, it’s time for him to be independent."
An Yiqing’s mouth twitched, and she suddenly sat up from the bed, gritting her teeth, "He’s not even a year old yet!"
"Hmm, I slept on my own at that age."
An Yiqing felt a pain in her liver; she thought about it and still felt uneasy. Simply jumping out of bed, she put on slippers and started heading outside.
Gu Yelin was quick as a flash, grabbing her and pulling her into his embrace. He lowered his head next to her ear, asking in a low voice, "Where are you going this late?"
The moist warmth made her ears itchy, and her body started to heat up. An Yiqing shivered and hurried to push him away.
"To check on Xiao Bao, he’s so young, he’ll be afraid to stay alone!"
Gu Yelin raised an eyebrow, a sly smile on his face. Suddenly, he picked An Yiqing up and placed her on the bed.
The tall figure pressed down, and An Yiqing only felt her breath become hot. She knew what Gu Yelin wanted to do—after a year of separation and half a year of restraint, this man had remained virtuous, but now he couldn’t keep it under control.
But, the baby...
Before she could figure it out, Gu Yelin’s passionate kisses fell like a flood. After a year apart, the two were like kindling struck with flames.
The big bed was filled with romantic moments and fervor.
...
The next morning, Kong Shi came out of the bedroom, and when passing by An Yiqing’s room, she heard the sound of a child’s laughter from the next room. She stopped, turned around, pushed the door open, and saw her little grandson lying on the bed, but happily chewing his little toes.
"Oh dear, why is Xiao Bao sleeping here?" Kong Shi said with a face full of heartache, quickly pulling the chubby boy’s foot out of his mouth, "Where are your mom and dad? Where did they go?"
She picked Little Bun up, wrapped a thin blanket around him, and walked to An Yiqing’s bedroom, gently knocking on the door.
Soon, the door opened, and Gu Yelin, neatly dressed in a robe, stood at the entrance.
