Eddie and Qiao Si hadn’t eaten yet, and of course, Gu Yelin wouldn’t be kind enough to make dinner for them. To him, aside from An Yiqing, no one else was worth the effort.
The three of them made do with some boxed meals, and Eddie slumped lifelessly on the sofa.
Moments later, his vacant gaze lit up when he looked at Gu Yelin, who had just come downstairs after a shower.

Eddie’s words didn’t capture Gu Yelin’s attention at all. His icy gaze locked onto Eddie as his voice hardened into something frigid.
"You went out without permission?"
Eddie choked, stunned. Damn it! He’d been caught!
Due to family feuds, Eddie had fled to Xuandu City with Qiao Si in tow, hoping for some peace. Out of concern for his safety, Gu Yelin begrudgingly let him stay at a small villa. He had repeatedly warned Eddie not to go out alone, as it could be dangerous. But who would have thought Eddie not only ignored the warning but even gallivanted around recklessly?
