Turning around, she looked at the man appearing at the terrace door, and a hint of interest flashed in An Yiqing’s watery eyes.
"Young Master Guh, I hope you’ve been well."
Without a doubt, this man was the Second Young Master Guh, Guh Siqi.
Upon hearing An Yiqing’s courteous greeting, Guh Siqi remained silent, just standing there and quietly staring at her with a complex look in his eyes.
An Yiqing also silently watched Guh Siqi, her sharp intuition telling her that this man seemed somewhat different from before.
A moment later
"Miss An, my second sister died. Do you know who did it?" Guh Siqi’s gaze was firmly fixed on An Yiqing, and the nonchalant smile was no longer on his face.
An Yiqing’s brows rose slightly, revealing an amused smile, "Young Master Guh, I regret the death of Second Miss Guh, but as for who did it, I really have no idea."
She slowly rose to her feet and leisurely walked onto the terrace. Facing the cool breeze of spring, she gazed into the distance and said in a meaningful whisper, "After all, society is so complex. There are many who would fight amongst themselves and slaughter their kin for gain. How could I possibly guess who is responsible for Second Miss Guh’s death?"
As if An Yiqing had touched on his most sensitive nerve, Guh Siqi’s chest tightened, and he found himself unable to say anything further.
