The second piece of rough jade began to be worked on. Sure enough, when Zhang Yuksheng poured a splash of clear water onto the jade, its true face was revealed. The texture was translucent, its richness a shade different from the noble translucence of Emperor Green; the Positive Green color appeared denser, and the whole surface of the jade was filled with a thick green, as if it were made of soft and delicate silk full of enthralling texture. Moreover, interspersed within that intense green were specks of blue flowers, and although the entire jade wasn’t as clear as the Glass-type varieties, this interplay of blue-green was truly captivating. Like blue flowers against a green backdrop, as if depicting green mountains and blue waters, the imagery was extraordinary.
Just as everyone was immersed in the scenery of this jade piece, an exclamation burst out, ringing in everyone’s ears.
