Chapter 253: The Unreasonable Old Master Gu (2)
Ruan Xue was overcome with grief and resignedly paid a silent tribute to the naïve and tender Duan Tang by lighting three sticks of incense in her heart...
After leaving the dorm, An Yiqing slowly walked down the tree-lined paths of Xuan University, holding a box that was not too big. It was now mid-December, and the entire campus was dressed in silvery white snow, sparkling everywhere. The cold wind at minus eighteen or nineteen degrees chilled the heart, and the students who were on campus were all wrapped up in coats, hurrying away, not wanting to stay outside for even a second.
In the empty campus, An Yiqing, clad in a white wool coat, complemented with a light grey scarf and wearing a pair of black boots, looked warm and pure against the bleak winter wind, her stunning face enhancing the fashion statement.
An Yiqing had just left the tree-lined path when a faint groan suddenly arose nearby.
"Ouch... oh... it hurts so much..."
The girl followed the sound and saw an old man collapsed on the ground behind a rockery, in a pavilion. He was clutching his chest tightly, his face pale, and he was groaning in pain.
"Old sir, what’s wrong with you?" An Yiqing quickly approached the old man, placing the cardboard box aside, and asked with concern.
"Miss... my chest hurts..."
The old man on the ground slowly raised his head, and An Yiqing could not help but feel a pain in her stomach when she saw his attire. The elderly man wore a black duckbill cap and had a large pair of sunglasses perched on his nose. The girl looked up at the sky, noting that there didn’t seem to be any sunlight today...
"Old sir, I’m a medical student, may I examine you?" An Yiqing asked politely.
"A medical student? No, no!" The old man quickly shook his head, gasping in pain as he said, "You young folks have too little experience, I can’t trust you... Ouch... it hurts so much..."
