It wasn’t long before the door to the interrogation room was flung open with a loud slam. Then, a female police officer violently threw the files in her hands onto the table. Without a word, she turned the interrogation lamp to its brightest and shone it directly on An Yiqing.
The girl squinted her eyes against the bright light and frowned at the woman standing before her. The female police officer appeared to be in her mid-twenties, with a pretty face and an alluring figure. However, haughtiness spoiled her beauty, giving off an air of disdainful arrogance. It was clear that this police officer was no easy pushover.
Accompanying her was a young man of similar age. Judging by the way he followed behind her, he seemed to be quite subordinate to the female officer. Both of them must have just graduated and entered the workforce not long ago.
As soon as they took their seats, the female officer slammed her hand on the table and glared at An Yiqing.
"Name! Age! Occupation! Spill it out honestly!" she snapped, impatiently flipping through a notebook on the table.
"My name is An Yiqing, nineteen, a student at Xuan University," An Yiqing slowly stated, her mood unfazed by the arrogant policewoman.
"Xuan University?" The policewoman looked up, surprised, and gave the girl in front of her a skeptical once-over. With disbelief in her eyes, she asked, "Are you really from Xuan University?"
"If you don’t believe me, you can check," An Yiqing responded with a nod, unbothered by the scorn in the officer’s eyes.
The policewoman’s face stiffened for a moment, a hint of annoyance flickering in her eyes.
