"Screech—!" The taxi hadn’t even come to a full stop in front of the military hospital when An Yiqing leapt out in one swift motion.
"Nurse, could you please tell me which ward Gu Yelin is in?" An Yiqing hurried to the information desk, out of breath as she asked her question. Even in this early hour of the morning, the hospital was busy with patients coming and going, who looked surprisingly at this stunning woman in her nightgown and slippers, with her long hair cascading over her shoulders.
"Gu Yelin? Please wait a moment, I’ll have a look." The nurse glanced at An Yiqing, surprised, then bowed her head and rapidly checked the computer.
However, a moment later, the nurse furrowed her brow with confusion: "I’m sorry, miss, there is no patient by the name of Gu Yelin."
"That can’t be right, he’s seriously injured, please check again, how can there be no record?!" An Yiqing’s face, already pale, lost all its color at this. Tan Yulin had clearly said he was at the military hospital!
"I’m sorry, miss, but there really is no record of him." The nurse checked again carefully, then shook her head regretfully.
