So, with his eyes twinkling, feeling the weight and pride of offering her a truly precious present, Christian rose from his chair and stepped out of the office.
His steps were light, filled with anticipation at her reaction, as he made his way through the quiet hallways toward Annabelle’s room. But when he arrived?
It turned out Annabelle wasn’t waiting for him there.
Instead, she was in the bath.
Did he mind?
Hardly.
He just grinned, stepped toward the bathing room, and entered without hesitation — thinking that a conversation between naked bodies wasn’t bad either.
Without hesitation, he stripped — tossing his clothes to the side in a rushed pile.
He proudly displayed his well-defined body, his tight six pack, and his little brother already coming into attention, thinking of what was going to happen.
The warm mist of the bath clung to his skin as he stepped in, steam curling around his body.
Annabelle, who had been relaxing under the gentle warmth of the water, naturally noticed his entrance. A small part of her still felt the flicker of embarrassment, even after everything that had passed between them — especially in this kind of vulnerable setting. But that didn’t stop her from doing what needed to be done.
