Chapter 1381: Feed Me!
Huo Jinyan turned his head to look at her and said faintly, "So, are you blaming me?"
Qin Shen Shen’s eyes went wide. This was a huge injustice. "How could I? I’m willingly taking care of you. I should be staying in the hospital to keep you company."
That’s right, her eyes went wide because she realized Huo Jinyan had actually guessed it.
Was she really that obvious?
She hadn’t even brought it up!
"It’s fine, you’ll be moving to my place in a bit anyway. Living with me will make it much more convenient for you to take care of me." Huo Jinyan said very "considerately."
Qin Shen Shen: "..."
Thanks!!!
However, I really don’t want to go.
"So happy you’ve gone stupid?" Huo Jinyan reached out a finger and poked her cheek. "Feed me some porridge."
Qin Shen Shen resigned herself and fed him plain rice porridge spoon by spoon.
Halfway through, Huo Jinsen came in.
Seeing Huo Jinyan like this, the disgust in his eyes was impossible to hide.
"Anyone who didn’t know better would think you were disabled."
Huo Jinyan had just opened his mouth to say something, but Huo Jinsen didn’t give him the chance.
"If there’s nothing wrong, just get discharged. Don’t hog resources."
Huo Jinyan: "..."
This is my biological brother.
"Second Brother, I’m still injured here! Don’t you think your attitude toward me is just a tiny bit too harsh?" Huo Jinyan felt utterly pitiful. With three older brothers like this, his childhood had been shrouded in shadows.
"Your tongue’s that sharp, looks like there’s absolutely nothing wrong with you. You don’t need to bother with discharge paperwork. In a bit you’re just leaving directly. If you keep clinging on and refuse to go, I’ll have to let those reporters outside the hospital come in."
Huo Jinsen had come just to check on his condition. Hearing him talk like this, seeing his spirits so high, it was obvious the injury was way too light.
And like this, he could still make a girl feed him.
Inside, Huo Jinsen was already filled with contempt for this little brother.
He simply couldn’t be bothered with him anymore and walked out.
Once he left, Huo Jinyan said, "Shen Shen, you saw that, right? That’s how hard my life is at home. Look, that’s my second brother. This is his hospital, and he can still kick me out like that."
I’m suffering so much. You saw my third brother yesterday, right? Little Zhi Liao’s husband. They came in to take one look at me yesterday, then left right away. Clearly, they’re disgusted by me.
My dad doesn’t dote on me, my mom doesn’t love me, I’m just too pitiful. Look at me, I didn’t grow crooked, and I can still keep such an optimistic heart—that’s all my own toughness."
Qin Shen Shen: "..."
What should she do to properly express that her heart was completely unruffled, and she even kind of wanted to step on him.
If it were before, she might’ve believed him.
But after spending an entire day with him, Qin Shen Shen had figured out that his three brothers weren’t gloating at all. That probably already counted as deep brotherly love.
Internally she was roasting him like crazy, but on the surface, Qin Shen Shen said, "Then let’s go home. No matter what, home is going to be more comfortable."
"When you put it like that, you’re not wrong." Huo Jinyan didn’t say anything more and forced himself to finish the entire bowl of extremely hated plain rice porridge.
"Do you want a bun?" Qin Shen Shen asked again.
Huo Jinyan: "Feed me one."
"You don’t even have the strength to hold a bun?" Qin Shen Shen was very suspicious, and also about eighty percent sure he was doing this on purpose.
"Are you suspecting I’m faking being sick?"
