Chapter 1367: Didn’t You Like Me?
"So you really do call me your husband in private? Turns out you like me that much!" Huo Jinyan’s tone was ridiculously flirty, but his eyes still looked oddly serious.
Qin Shen Shen was already burning up with shame and anger; she really hadn’t expected Huo Jinyan to be this shameless.
She’d thought her God would be like that night—like that.
But the reality totally flipped her expectations.
"Shen Shen." Seeing she didn’t speak, Huo Jinyan called her once.
The way he said "Shen Shen" was both teasing and swoony, making Qin Shen Shen’s poor little heart tremble.
"Y-you... why are you calling me Shen Shen?" Hadn’t he always called her Screenwriter Qin?
"What’s wrong? I can’t call you that? Isn’t that what everyone calls you? So only I’m not allowed? Or are you saying that you liking me was fake?" Huo Jinyan’s rapid-fire questioning left Qin Shen Shen completely unable to react.
What is with this guy!!
She hadn’t said anything at all!
Yet his tone made it sound like she’d done something wrong.
"I never said you couldn’t. It’s just, you never used to call me that before." Qin Shen Shen felt a little wronged; even her voice carried a hint of resentment and a touch of coquettishness.
Huo Jinyan thought this little girl was really...
Pretty damn lovable.
"Then I’ll call you Shen Shen, and you call me Jin Yan, how about that?" Huo Jinyan said it all proper and serious again.
"Mm." Qin Shen Shen nodded, still not looking at Huo Jinyan.
"So you really don’t plan on seriously calling me once?" Huo Jinyan said unhappily.
"Jin Yan." Qin Shen Shen quickly called out.
In reality, she felt like her heart was about to jump out of her chest. She clearly hadn’t said anything much, yet she couldn’t help feeling like Huo Jinyan was flirting with her.
"Do... do you want to eat anything else?" Forced to change the subject, Qin Shen Shen was afraid that if this went on, her heartbeat would completely lose its rhythm.
"I’m done, I’m full. Go get me a tissue and wipe my mouth!" Huo Jinyan lay back down again, all settled in and ready to be waited on.
"You need me to do that too?" Qin Shen Shen asked uncertainly.
"My hand hurts." Huo Jinyan had the perfect excuse.
"Alright then, I’ll help you." Qin Shen Shen obediently went to get some tissues and gently wiped his mouth for him.
When she leaned in to wipe his mouth like that, her body bent over, lightly brushing against his. Huo Jinyan looked at her intently, his gaze a bit strange. "Shen Shen."
That single call was even more seductive, almost making Qin Shen Shen lose her footing.
"Um... it’s done." Qin Shen Shen tried hard to calm herself down. "Do you need me to do anything else?"
"Anything is fine?" Huo Jinyan asked.
With a hidden meaning.
"Anything." Qin Shen Shen didn’t think that far, and just answered.
"Nothing for now, we’ll talk later!" Huo Jinyan said. "Keep me company and chat for a bit."
"Huh? What do you want to talk about?" Qin Shen Shen had no idea how to get along with her God.
Back then, she’d only dared to ask him out for late-night snacks because she’d had some alcohol in her system.
Thinking about it now, it was still pretty unreal—she’d actually taken him out for skewers and the like.
Is a God the kind of person who eats that stuff?
"Anything’s fine. Did you start liking me from my first performance on the New Year’s Gala?" Huo Jinyan had heard her mention it, though at the time, she’d been drinking.
