Gu Lili responded and had just taken a couple of steps when she specifically instructed, "When he returns, don’t go out of your way to tell him I was here."
The secretary smiled faintly, "Okay."
Gu Lili went into the office and headed for Long Yubei’s rest room.
She closed the door, lay on the bed in the rest room, and set an alarm for a quick nap.
Once on the bed, Gu Lili could easily fall asleep.
An hour quickly passed, she got up, turned off the alarm on her phone, sat on the bed still slightly dazed, then heard Long Yubei speaking with his subordinates.
He was back.
Gu Lili quietly slipped on her shoes and tiptoed to the door.
Holding the door handle, she carefully controlled the force, creating a slight gap.
