Chapter 6: He’s Waiting for You
She showed no fear and cried out excitedly, "Master, you're back!"
Gu Xichen, however, could not see anything and anxiously asked Gu Lili across from him, "Is my mom really back?"
"Of course."
She watched as Master Mingyue slowly entered and knelt without moving, then she first reported to Gu Xichen, "Master, he broke off our engagement."
Ming Yue spoke up, her voice carrying a chill, "Xichen, why?"
Hearing his mother's voice, Gu Xichen also got scared and hurriedly answered, "Your son has found a woman he likes, and Lili has agreed."
"Master, since he is unwilling, I do not wish to force him against his will, so let's call off this marriage."
"What will you do from now on?" Ming Yue looked at her, her pale face showing concern.
