Chapter 1664 - 1684: A Word is a Promise
Princess glanced at Doug Shepherd standing compliantly beside Yusuf Zuck, but only cast a glance before she turned to Yusuf Zuck, and with a slight curve of her lips, she gently bowed and said, "Why does Sir Webb stop my carriage so urgently? Is it that old Doug is stirring up trouble?"
"My lady Princess, I dare not!" Doug Shepherd straightened slightly, trying to appear as composed as possible because his Cultivation Level had risen, and he was no longer Princess’s slave, wanting to stand tall!
However, the shadow in his heart didn’t retreat, and even though he straightened his back, he didn’t truly stand tall.
"Oh? If it wasn’t you causing trouble, then Sir Webb, what is the matter?" Princess was astonished; initially, she thought it was Doug Shepherd who stirred things up, but now it turns out not to be the case. Yet, she hadn’t offended Jordan Webb, had she? Why has Jordan Webb come in a rage?
"Miss Gould, may we speak privately?" Yusuf Zuck said in a deep voice.
"Hmph, who do you think you are? Knowing the master is Princess and yet not kneeling, daring to obstruct the carriage? This is a capital offense!" A guard beside Princess shouted, and the other guards simultaneously unsheathed their waist knives, ready for combat.
Yusuf Zuck’s eyes glowed brightly, truth to be told, he approached Princess indeed intending to kidnap her or use her to sneak into the palace.
His emotions weren’t fully adjusted, so he still felt irate.
However, upon seeing the opposition willing to meet with weapons, he looked towards Princess; if a battle with weapons truly ensues, he wouldn’t fear it.
"Stand down, do not be rude!" Indeed, this Princess was an extraordinary person; she commanded the guards beside her, and then continued to bow slightly, saying, "Sir, please follow me!" After speaking, she walked towards a small wood on the side of the official road!
Several guards wanted to follow but were repelled by her fierce gaze, and Yusuf Zuck walked over in large strides.
Doug Shepherd didn’t dare to follow, nor did others.
