Chapter 1277 - 1276: Focus
Surrounding Guard City in the northwest, there is a ring of mountains—tall and covered in dense forests, full of natural hazards and shrouded in mists, providing a haven for bands of bandits.
Every year, Guard City must send forces to exterminate these bandits, but the results are always minimal.
First, there are too many bandit groups, and second, there are skilled fighters among the bandits, along with cunning individuals, making the first extermination campaign by Guard City always a costly one.
Kunlun Mountain, previously called Shuanggushan or \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*shan, and to its south are other peaks like Guinaoshan, Dachashan, and so forth. One of these, Breakback Mountain, is the largest bandit stronghold in the northwest.
This stronghold houses bandits with God King Level fighters, so whenever Guard City heads to Breakback Mountain for a bandit purge, it does so with elite fighters from The Eight Great Families.
However, even with these elite fighters, the bandit plague of Breakback Mountain has never been completely eradicated.
Rumors have it that the boss of Breakback Mountain is named ’Kase Day’, an unparalleled master at the Divine King realm. Some say he is a High-level God King, others claim he is only half a step away from being a Divine Emperor, while there are those who argue he is a Mid-level God King, and so on.
Regardless of his rank, Guard City has been unable to do anything to Kase Day despite many years of bandit suppression.
Rumor has it that Kase Day ascended from the Lower Realm a long time ago; he escaped during his period of slavery, turned to banditry, and has retained the stigma on his face ever since. Known by the nickname: Lone Dragon Drill—he lost an eye, allegedly whipped out while he was a slave. Originally called One-eyed Dragon, later, after mastering skills that could pierce the heavens, the earth, and people’s hearts, the fame of Lone Dragon Drill grew increasingly.
