Chapter 1250 - 1249: The Pursuit
Yusuf Zuck knew that before dawn was the best time to escape; the farther he could run, the better, because once daylight broke and the deputy commander and two personal soldiers were nowhere to be found, the barracks would surely commence a search. Then, they would discover the mine and subsequently realize that the deputy commander and the personal soldiers were likely murdered. It would also become evident that Yusuf Zuck and his two companions had fled.
Therefore, the barracks would quickly launch a manhunt. If the trio didn’t seize this moment to gain as much distance as possible, they would inevitably be caught.
Since Yusuf Zuck was carrying two grown men, his speed was fast but still much slower than when he flew alone.
Moreover, he had no intention of taking the two men to Blue Sea and Cloud Sky, for it was his home. Neither Alden Baxter nor Leonidas King had reached a level of trust sufficient for Yusuf to allow them entry.

At the same time, shortly after daybreak, the barracks finally noticed that Deputy Commander Santiago Wilkinson and the two personal soldiers were missing. As the commander was scheduled to muster the troops that day, it was discovered during the roll call that the three were absent, which infuriated the commander, who ordered an immediate search!
At this point, the commander hadn’t realized that the deputy commander and the personal soldiers had been killed.
The commander, also surnamed Berger and a member of the Zhou Clan, was known as Jaxon Berger.
