Chapter 1059 - 1058: Just Divorce Me
Yusuf Zuck had lain in the sickroom for a day; come night, he had heard Master Shepherd coming over, asking the servants at the door how the new son-in-law was doing. After asking, however, he had left without entering the sickroom; Yusuf faintly heard that Master Shepherd seemed to be heading out and would only return the day after tomorrow.
Yusuf had hoped that Master Shepherd would come in so that they could talk, but since Master Shepherd had left, he had no choice but to wait for his return.
However, after he had lain drowsily through the night, early the next morning, he heard crying and shouting from the courtyard; the whole place had come alive.
"Whoosh—" The aged servant rushed in, his face streaked with tears, and with a thud, he knelt before Yusuf: "Young Master... Master... Master has died!"
"What? What?" Yusuf sat up again. How could that be possible? The Master had just welcomed a new son-in-law yesterday, and today he was dead? Could this really be true?
"Where is the Master?" Yusuf shook all over, then leaped out of bed, taking a new set of clothes from his ring to put on!
"Young Master, you... you’re well?" the old servant said in shock.
"The medicine from the two Immortal Doctors was effective. Let’s go and see!" Yusuf, full of doubts, pondered how he could have just died like that.
He strode out of the sickroom, the servant quickly following him, and said mournfully, "Last night, the Master went to ’Unending City’ to find a medicinal herb, which was crucial for treating the young miss’s illness, but on the way, they were ambushed by villains, and the Master and his three servants were all killed, with only one servant’s Nascent Soul escaping. The Master’s body was preserved, but his Nascent Soul was taken by the villains."
"Oh..." Yusuf listened as he walked towards the main hall, drawn by the loud wailing there.
