Three days later, Yusuf received an unexpected call from Luciano, who told him that he and Alfredo needed to leave for a while and might not be able to return anytime soon but reassured him there was no need to worry.
When Yusuf asked where they were going, Luciano didn’t say, only telling him there was no need to worry.
Wells Merritt and Hobby Pope were also leaving with them.
Yusuf didn’t get too anxious; he figured that Luciano and Alfredo were probably off scouting for other members of the team.
Elena and Selena Gould also left, heading to Washington, and Yusuf handed the intelligence buildup to Elena because she was capable, smart, and ruthless, making her a perfect candidate to build the organization efficiently.
With no familiar faces left in the teahouse, Yusuf became a commander without troops.
