Chapter 458 - 457: This Is The End [Third Update]
Although the lights were on in the main building of the Petty Family Mansion as night fell, there were only two individuals present. The patriarch of the Petty family had sent everyone away, forbidding anyone to set foot in the main building.
In his study, Edison Petty, dressed in a suit, lay motionless in the arms of Alvin Petty, as if he were asleep, allowing Alvin Petty to gently sway him, seemingly lulling him to sleep.
The patriarch of the Petty family sat with his eyes closed, as if in meditation, or perhaps, as if nurturing his heart.
At exactly seven o’clock in the evening, the sound of a lighter suddenly rang out in the study.
The patriarch was immediately startled, and Alvin Petty, who was holding Edison, also looked up abruptly.
