Chapter 451 - 450: Edison Petty Wants to Play with Fire
"What will you do next?" Yusuf Zuck left the house after only staying for an hour, and Fleur Carson was with him as they walked out.
"What else can I do, I’m already considered dead in the eyes of the officials, so I have to go incognito for now and wait for the investigation results from Isaac Quintana and Anais Dillon!" Yusuf said lightly, sitting in the back of Fleur’s car.
"And then? Live your life forever skulking and hiding?" Fleur said angrily, "If it really comes to that, you might as well emigrate. I think Australia is not bad."
"I haven’t considered it for the time being, and I won’t in the future." Yusuf shook his head, smiled, and said, "But I might go abroad to hide for a while, and if it comes to it, I’ll just change my foreign identity and come back later."
Fleur shrugged her shoulders, "Up to you, but what should I do next?"
After giving it some thought, Yusuf said, "Stay in the capital. I’m not at ease with you not being there."
"Hmm," Fleur nodded, understanding Yusuf’s meaning. Yusuf still wanted him to protect Miles O’Brien or Marlon Shepherd from the shadows. Samuel Ross and others might leave, possibly for Inner Mongolia or Australia, but Fleur couldn’t leave. If he did, and only Miles O’Brien and Paisley Kirk were left in the capital, there would be no one to look after them if something happened in the future.
"Stop the car, take good care of the house for me." Yusuf patted Fleur’s shoulder, then turned and got out of the car, disappearing into the vast night before long.
He dared not stay at home for too long, nor could he contact his loved ones for an extended period, or else his cover would soon be blown, bringing disaster not only to himself but also to those around him.
At least for a short while, he needed to disappear.
