Ember Vance’s amnesia dealt a heavy blow to Yusuf Zuck. Even though they were two close lovers, the awakened her didn’t recognize him at all.
He saw the confusion and distress in her eyes and really couldn’t bear to upset her further, so Yusuf Zuck left, departing amid the Vance Family’s watchful eyes, feeling a mix of emotions.
Following him were Rachel Fournier and Sophia.
Both women could tell Yusuf Zuck was in a very bad mood, so even after getting into the car, neither of them spoke a word.
"Brother Zuck, there’s a saying that true love doesn’t mean being inseparable, it means being separated and nothing changes. Ember will regain her memory eventually," finally, Sophia couldn’t help but speak up.
Upon hearing her words, Rachel Fournier immediately covered her mouth, and Yusuf Zuck, who had been driving listlessly, was suddenly amused by her statement; the girl could actually say something like that, which genuinely surprised him.
"I know, don’t worry about me. I just feel a bit unwilling to accept this. But you’re right, there’s plenty of time ahead. Even if she can’t retrieve her past memories, what’s wrong with wooing her all over again? What’s mine will always be mine, and no one can take that away," he said.
"Exactly, that’s the right spirit! Whoever tries to compete with you, I’ll help you take them down!" Sophia said, applauding loudly.
"Haha." Yusuf Zuck laughed heartily, his mood seeming to lift considerably.
Maybe within a few days, Ember might recover the memories she had lost on her own, so there was no need to rush.
