Yusuf Zuck knew that he couldn’t run away. If he fled, what would become of his brothers and kinsfolk? Besides, he couldn’t possibly run away for his entire life, could he?
It was something that had to be resolved eventually, so he could only confront it head-on, or perhaps... take the initiative to strike!
Indeed, if the other party wanted him dead without regard for the consequences, then he wouldn’t mind... killing their entire family!
If they were still enemies, it was either you die or I perish. When the time came, they would see who was crazier!
Moreover, the Meskill Family was just one of the four major clans, not a national hero, nor a state leader.

After getting hold of the Ferrari sports car, Yusuf Zuck called Miles O’brien and told him to prepare a red envelope with ten million for tomorrow, to give to Marlon Shepherd and his wife. Then, he drove to the hospital where Ember Vance was staying.
The night was deep, and the hospital was empty of people. Yusuf Zuck stood outside the ward door and saw Ember Vance’s mother accompanying her. So after thinking it over, he didn’t go in but instead headed to Sophia’s room.
